The death of death

The death of death
Captain Shiva was sweating.Fear reflected in his eyes but he had made up his mind  to carry the dead body of his fellow, lieutenant Rudra on his back and walk back to his army base camp which was around 5 miles away from the site where he stood,  4 enemy dead bodies lay there with the body of his dearest friend who was alive moments before. The mission was accomplished but Shiva lost his friend.

Drenched in blood, Rudra's body was now on Shiva's back. Shiva who himself was hit by an smg bullet on his left shoulder was in terrible pain but there existed a "will" to walk to the army base not alone but with a martyr who had succumbed to death fighting for his nation. As blood from Rudra's body seeped into his clothes, he felt a chill. "How can someone die if he had the spirit to fight till his last breath?"

Tears appeared in his eyes and though there existed an emotional disturbance his mind was still and his thoughts crystal clear. Rudra had become eternal. His body was dead but was that vigor in him dead too? The gem that personified his courage to be fearless till the end,was it dead too? The greatness of the thought to not surrender and back out, was it dead too? The emotion of service, was it dead too? ""NO!!""

As he walked through the jungle he did hear some unusual voices coming from the bushes around. Had some enemy troop surrounded him? But he was fearless. He loaded his gun in one hand and started walking slowly and carefully. He understood FEAR WAS JUST AN ILLUSION WHICH COULD BE SIMPLY DEFEATED BY BRAVERY AND AN ALERT ATTITUDE. His friend's body on his back seemed to provide him a divine force rather than being a burden for him. There was no attack from the bushes.

Lieutenant Rudra had once said Captain Shiva "sir when I encounter death, I will let it know that it was already down when I was born, since I was born to defeat it". Shiva walked with moist eyes further and he could finally see his army base camp. Fellow army men watched in silence the dead body of lieutenant  but there existed a great sense of pride in their hearts. He would be remembered as a great soldier. HE BECAME IMMORTAL IN THE HEARTS OF THE NATION SINCE HE DEFEATED THE EVIL TROOPS,HE DEFEATED DEATH, DEATH WAS DEAD!
