Breathing and alive

Little Nirvana was all alone in the temple with those oil lamps in his hands. A soothing yet a
Turbulent wind was blowing outside. Nirvana joined his hands and begun his small prayer. God who we think sometimes doesn't see and understand our sufferings is actually watching us every second and has mystical colors kept in his heart for us all.

It was getting colder and the cheeks and nose of Nirvana had already turned red like a cherry. He finished his prayers and then lit the lamps. He then began his walk back to home. Moments later Mokshika stood at the same place before the idol of goddess mother Durga, with tears in her eyes.

Mokshika kept a spiral binded book at the feet of the idol of Goddess and rushed out of temple premises. The silence and the night both were mystical. The wind blew with such force that it overturned a lamp which then fell on the book kept by Mokshika. The book was burning.

Stories of hope and will power written zealously but rejected by a hundred publishers were set ablaze by the flames of lamps lit by a child who had suffered extreme level of violence at home. Goddess was watching everything quietly with her feet getting heated due to the ignited papers. The time had come to show that truth is all that is infinite and powerful.

It was the very few nights that Goddess mother walked on earth. The stars twinkled in awe seeing the wonderful site. There she was in little Nirvana's room. Gently she let her hand run over his forehead.
Nirvana woke up in surprise
"Who are you"
" I.. your mother child"
"I have never seen her"
"You see her now and she is happy to see you"
" Oh mother...I am in tremendous pain..it is unbearable...excruciating.."
Nirvana pointed to the burns produced due to a cigarette on his forearm.
"You dont need to cry child"
Goddess pulled Nirvana and brought her close to her bossom. She with her tender touch rolled her fingers over the burns, they healed magically.
"Child! Understand this! I exist within you and expect you to fight with full vigor. Within you is all light and energy. Within you is that warrior who knows no fear"
" I will mother, I will!"

Nirvana opened his eyes in an anxious emotion he found no one around. He didn't find Goddess Durga but he had found some miraculously scintillating energy within. The next day he had to submit an essay in school for the essay writing competition. He decided to write. There was no electricity but surprisingly he found one oil lamp that he had lit in the temple on his desk.He thus began writing using its light.

Mokshika an aspiring writer worked as a primary teacher in a school. She was also the class teacher of Nirvana. She sat down to read all the essays she had recieved. Her eyes became moist as she began reading Nirvana's essay. It was titled "neither me nor my mother is dead". The ending lines of the essay were-
" How can a child be alone if he truly understands his Existence? If he knows about his strengths he also knows that his mother need not be present physically always but she is there breathing and alive somewhere within; and since I know my smiling face looks much better, I smile every second".

Nirvana was awarded the first prize in the essay writing competition. The prize gave him hope, to work harder and fight the daily battles. His essay gave hope and motivation to Mokshika to begin writing once again no matter the publishers liked her book or not. In the temple Goddess Durga smiled as she saw how her many manifestations were beaming with the zeal of the knowledge of their real selves.
